ELEMENTARY PROGRAMS
The Universal College-Aley holds a 5- week learning enrichment camp for UCA and Non UCA
students every summer. The Elementary Summer Program (KG1-6) is offered Monday through Friday between the
hours of 9:00am and 2:00Pm. Most of the camp week was spent in academic
enrichment activities with an emphasis on mastery in English,
Mathematics, Arabic and Science to prepare students for success during the next school year.
The remaining time of the week is spent engaging in fun
filled campus activities and field trips in the community.
Camp Participants are divided into age-appropriate and grade-level groupings for all activities.
SECONDARY PROGRAMS
The UCA Secondary Summer Program (7-11)
is academic in focus with students attending classes four (5) days each week
on Monday through Thursday between the hours of 9:00am and 2:00pm. UCA
students who have not performed well during the just completed school year
are required to attend the summer sessions. Non-UCA students may
enroll for academic enrichment. Some form of summer activities may be made
available to students who have performed well during the week.
HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT COURSE PROGRAM
(NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE 2007 SUMMER CAMP)
High school student from UCA and from
other ESOL schools may take one high school course for credit toward the
American Diploma. Students attend classes on Monday through Friday
from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Courses are taught by credentialed teachers,
with successful completion of the course resulting in one-credit.
Boarding facilities are available on the UCA campus for students in need of
this service.
